These puppets are easily adaptable and allow the children to design and create something to completion within one day.
The simple yet impressive puppets allow students to explore different literary or fairytale characters giving them the chance to improve speaking, listening, reading and writing skills aided by the use and inspiration of the puppets.
Create puppets themed around history topics covering both D&T and history. By designing and making puppets pupils engage in exploring the clothing worn, famous historical characters from the time and beliefs and lifestyle. Choose anything from Ancient Egyptian or Roman Gods and Goddesses, to the Tudors and Victorians (Comparing rich and poor)
These workshops can be adapted using favourite classroom texts. Let us know if you are studying a particular text and we will let you know if it is suitable.
An 'inset' is also negotiable if there are enough teachers/adults who want to join together be able to learn how to make these puppets wiht their students.

In these workshops pupils can explore the science of Light and Shadow in a practical, hands on and creative way. Depending on the length of workshop you require we can discover shadow puppets from across the world and how they are integrated in the historical culture of places like Turkey, India, China and Indonesia and then have a go at making our own.
The theme of these shadow puppets can be entirely up to you as the focus can explore landscapes and worlds as well as magical characters.
